2018 Word for the Year
As we embark upon 2018, it is always a good time to be reflective and contemplative over the past year.
Here are a few questions I like to consider for myself, and encourage you to do the same.
What were your accomplishments over 2017? This can be big or small, professional, spiritual, emotional, physical or personal.
Take a moment and acknowledge this growth and be proud of yourself. Not a puffed up, arrogant pride, but a genuine sense of appreciation and gratification. Often times we are so quick to congratulate others, even strangers for their successes, but we have a hard time seeing the good we have done, our own growth. Acknowledge and be proud of your accomplishments!
What were the low points in 2017 and how can I grow from them? It’s inevitable, life will happen. Sickness, death, pain, difficulties, heartaches and suffering. Some years are significantly painful, obstacles completely out of our control, but tremendously impact us to the core.
Sometimes we suffer from our own mistakes, which is painful as well, because they usually have an effect on our loved ones.
What have I learned from this? What was the lesson God was teaching me in the midst of the storm? How can I grow from this experience and be a stronger person, or be better equipped to face the next challenge that comes my way? And always remember, you are an OVERCOMER!
What am I excited about for the new year? As we think about 2018 and the future, I encourage you to look at it with a spirit of anticipation and excitement. It’s a new start, a fresh beginning full of new and wonderful possibilities. Jesus says, “I have come to give you life to the full”. He wants an abundant life for you, in every capacity.
Prayerfully consider what is your WORD for the year? What is the Lord breathing in your spirit? What is HIS Word of life over you for 2018?
Write this down and hold fast to it. Refer to it throughout the year and see what God will do.
May God richly and abundantly bless you in 2018.
Happy New Year!
Love,
Amy
The Fit Soul

I am looking for my word from God for this year. As you know I travel and spend a lot of time alone. I seriously want to be used by Him as we travel.
