What a stressful week! I am feeling it…
My mom is having surgery, my business is full throttle, lots of responsibilities, and my head is about to explode.
So, I had to STOP. I knew that if I didn’t, I would continue to get more and more overwhelmed, leading to higher stress levels.
Unfortunately, high levels of stress equal higher levels of cortisol. And the more cortisol your body has in it, the more FAT it holds on to.
Y’all, stress could be making you FAT!
So, I did these things this morning to help me take a step back and reduce my level of stress…
1. Breathe
I took some time this morning to do some deep belly breathing. I relaxed my shoulders, closed my eyes, and blew out as much stress as I could.
2. Plan Ahead
Like the saying goes, “If you fail to plan, you’re planning to fail.” I had a busy day ahead, so I made sure I had my entire day mapped out to avoid overwhelm and more stress.
3. Soothing Music
Who doesn’t love some good spa music to make you feel a bit more relaxed?! The closer I can get to an atmosphere of feeling like I’m getting a massage, the more relaxed I’ll feel!
4. Prayer
Let’s be honest… this is really the ONLY thing that is important, but it truly does help with stress. Talking to God about what I’m going through always helps me to remember that HE is in control.
5. Gratitude
I write down some mini-successes to remind myself of all the good that is going on, like the fact that I have a Tribe FULL of amazing women, or that my newest program – Transformation 6 – is steadily getting more and more people choosing to TRANSFORM their lives!
6. Hire a coach
I met with my coach, Natalie Jill, this morning because even a good coach needs a coach! She helps keep me accountable and truly helps me get my mind in the right place!
You need accountability, structure, and a proven plan. Stress Management is just one of the pillars of health for weight loss and optimal living.
As a health coach and personal trainer, my goal is to help women step into their power to have confidence with my program T6 – Transformation 6.
My next 6-week coaching program starts next week. Join me!! Space is limited!
